Big Cat Rescue Documentary – Big Cat Rescue is the world’s largest sanctuary for big cats that have been abused, abandoned, retired from performing acts, or saved from being slaughtered for fur coats.  The narrow mission of Big Cat Rescue is to provide a good home for the limited number of cats that the sanctuary can afford to take in.  The broader mission is to reduce the number of cats that suffer the fate of abandonment and abuse by education as many people as possible about the conditions that lead to the plight of these animals.

In this documentary you will spend a typical day at Big Cat Rescue.  You will meet the staff and volunteers who keep these cats alive and the visitors whose financial support makes the sanctuary possible.  Most importantly, you will meet some of these magnificent animals and hear their personal stories.

The philosophy of Big Cat Rescue has evolved significantly in recent years.  Some of the activities depicted or discussed in this video have been discontinued.
